Abstrak

THE INFLUENCE OF LEARNING STYLES ON STUDENTS' ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AT ST. JOHN RANOIAPO CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

This paper aims to analyze the influence of learning styles on student academic achievement at St. Yohanes Ranoiapo Catholic Elementary School. The low academic achievement of students, many of whom have not yet met the minimum passing grade (KKM) in all subjects, is the background to this paper. This paper is a quantitative study using a survey approach. The population of this paper was 53 students in grades III-IV, all of whom were sampled using a total sampling technique. The data collection instrument used was a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques used were prerequisite analysis tests (normality and linearity) and simple linear regression analysis using IBM SPSS 25. The results indicate that learning styles significantly influence student academic achievement, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). The regression coefficient of 0.502 indicates a positive effect. The effect of learning styles on academic achievement is 25.5% (R Square = 0.255), with the remaining 74.5% being influenced by other factors. Overall, this paper proves that the more a student's learning style matches the learning strategy used, the higher their academic achievement. Therefore, teachers are advised to accommodate diverse learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) in the learning process.
